Since Trek Development & Q Development unveiled their plans for the North Side's Garden Theater block development, we have worked with both to protect the integrity of National Historic District. Over the course of several meetings spanning as many months, we've seen Trek's plans evolve for the site that are more of a reflection of the architectural elements present in the block.

On September 28th, Preservation Pittsburgh met with community, state, and preservation stakeholders to discuss a Memorandum of Agreement. Because the development will adversely impact the National Historic District, a mitigation proposal will need to be agreed upon. It was a tremendously positive meeting but the details of the MOA have yet to be formalized. We'll update you with the latest news once we've received notice.
